Unofficial Guide to Australia's favourite Coast Road
About
Welcome to the Great Ocean Road Guide!
The Great Ocean Road Guide strives to show you the many ways in which you can enjoy this incredible part of Australia.
From the incredible natural rock formations such as the 12 Apostles and London Bridge that have made Port Campbell National Park so famous, to the gorgeous beaches, epic surf spots, native wildlife, beautiful waterfalls and so much more that make this region so incredible. This site will not only inspire you to visit Victoria’s Great Ocean Road – but help you plan the perfect trip!
Whether you’re an Aussie native or an international visitor, we want you to have the best experience and so have put together a whole heap of expert guides for travel in the region including day tours and self-drive itineraries, guides to where to stay in each popular (and some not so popular) spots along the Great Ocean Road, the best places to see our native wildlife, all the delectable foodie finds in the region (craft beer, cheese and chocolate to name a few!), how to chase – and find – stunning waterfalls and (of course) all the incredible things there are to do along the 243km stretch of coast road between Torquay and Allensford that, since 1932, has been our Great Ocean Road.

Who created the Great Ocean Road Guide?.
Hi There!
My name is Vicki, and after travelling the world & running the award-winning travel blog, MakeTimeToSeeTheWorld over the past 4 years I decided I wanted to explore – and share – more of my own backyard with the world and so set up this site and its sister – BigAustraliaBucketList.com.
A Brit who was born to travel, I’ve lived in 8 cities on 4 continents and travelled to over 55 countries, but proudly call Melbourne my home (and have done since 2012!)
On my travels I’ve worked for the Mouse at Walt Disney World, ran hotels in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps, call Spain my second home (my folks live there!), am a qualified legal practitioner in the State of Victoria and absolutely love quizzes and trivia!
I created the Great Ocean Road Guide to provide detailed and accurate information from a local’s perspective to help everyone explore Australia’s favourite coast road – and hopefully help you fall in love with the region as much as I have over the past 8 years of living here!
Happy exploring!
